Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from North Carolina Acquisitions, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact, 1,995 linear feet (lf)/ 0.129 acres of Unnamed Tributary (UT) to I-L Creek associated with the construction of two distribution facilities at 782 Perry Road, near Troutman, Iredell County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received a request from the Town of Sunset Beach seeking to modify their April 14, 2021 Department of the Army (DA) authorization to conduct dredging operations within South Jinks Creek, several finger canals, and the “Bay Area” and to place the beach compatible dredge material in the nearshore waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The permit modification request consists of reconfiguring the dredge footprint within the “Bay Area” from one channel to two separate channels and to install a temporary ramp for the unloading of the incompatible beach material to an upland disposal site.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Town of Nags Head seeking Department of the Army authorization to dredge 975,000 cubic yards of beach-quality sediments from three offshore borrow sources, and deposit the material along a 4.5-mile section of oceanfront shoreline, in the Town Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Martin Marietta seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 2,463 linear feet (lf) of unnamed tributaries to Killian Creek, associated with the proposed expansion of an existing aggregate quarry at 4965 NC-16 Business northwest of Denver, Lincoln County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army (DA) authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States associated with the construction of a new interchange on Interstate 26 (I-26) to provide access to I-26 and improve east-west connectivity within the project vicinity to accommodate current and planned growth in Buncombe County, North Carolina (STIP Project No. HE-0001). The proposed project also includes construction of a 2-lane roadway that would connect the proposed interchange to a road that is currently under construction by a private developer (Frederick Law Olmsted Way East). Once road construction is completed by the private developer, Frederick Law Olmsted Way East will connect to NC 191.
