Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    Expiration date: 6/25/2021

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Foothills Regional Airport Authority seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill into 0.24 acre of wetlands and 1,534 linear feet of stream channel, associated with the construction of a parallel taxiway, at 3566 Foothills Airport Road, Burke County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received information from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, associated with replacement of US 64 Tyrrell County Bridge Number 7 (Lindsay C. Warren Bridge) over the Alligator River, Dare and Tyrrell Counties, North Carolina. The project is identified in NCDOT’s 2020-2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) as Project Number HB-0001. It has been assigned the Federal Aid Project Number NHPB-0001(156) by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Right of way acquisition and construction are unfunded and programmed for future years behind the STIP horizon.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Southern Environmental Group Inc. (SEGI) on behalf of Jason Wade seeking Department of the Army authorization to fill 0.36 of an acre of wetlands, associated with the construction of two duplexes in New Hanover County, North Carolina.

  • eFILES Public Notice Update

    In March 2020, the Wilmington District Regulatory Division provided an initial Public Notice regarding electronic submittals for Corps Regulatory Actions in North Carolina. A few submittal protocols have been modified to improve the process over the past fourteen months and this notice is intended to provide these updates.
