Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

  • SAW-2007-01386 NCDOT TIP 3300 Hampstead Bypass Section A

    Expiration date: 1/6/2025

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on November 22, 2024 from North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to modify an existing Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 Individual Permit (IP) for TIP No. 3300 Hampstead Bypass Section A, in Pender and New Hanover Counties, North Carolina. There are two other sections associated with this project. A phased permit was issued in August 2017 for U-4751 Military Cutoff Extension and construction completed. Hampstead Bypass Section B (R-3300B) was permitted in 2021 and construction began in 2022. This modification request provides updates and final impacts/design for the R-3300A section of the project. The revised design does not compromise NCDOT’s compliance with the existing permit conditions.

  • SAW-2024-01540 Port of Wilmington

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on November 22, 2024 from the North Carolina State Ports Authority (Authority) seeking Department of the Army authorization to upgrade the existing rail line on Authority owned property in the Port of Wilmington by adding four dedicated rail sidings, each 1,250 feet in length, for switching activities and storage, associated with Port activities in Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina.

  • SAW-2020-00886 Laurelbrook Residential Development

    Expiration date: 12/25/2024

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Prestige Corporation, seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 1,420 linear feet (lf) of stream channel (425 lf would be associated with riprap dissipator and is not considered a loss) and 0.043 acre (ac) of wetland, associated with the construction of the Laurelbrook residential development (Project), in Catawba County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on November 14, 2024 from Rhetson Companies Inc c/o: Jamie Encinosa seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 1.31 acres of jurisdictional wetlands, associated with retail site in the Calabash area in Brunswick County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on October 29, 2024 from Alligator Bay Associates, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into wetlands for the construction of two (2) road crossings, associated with the existing Preserve at Tidewater subdivision in Sneads Ferry, Onslow County, North Carolina.
