Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from BOMA North Carolina, LLC, seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 815 linear feet (lf) of stream channel and 0.82 acres of wetland, temporarily impact 235 lf of stream channel and 0.55 acre of wetland, and permanently convert 0.21 acre of wetland, in conjunction with the construction of the Caleb’s Creek (Site) mixed-use development, located at along Teague Lane, in Kernersville, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on January 29, 2024, from TKC Land Development II, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 873 linear feet (0.07-acre) of perennial stream associated with developing the South Point Commerce Center project in Thomasville, Davidson County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Johnston Regional Airport (JNX), seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States in Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 03020201 (Neuse River basin), associated with the construction of proposed Johnston Regional Airport Midfield Apron Development in Smithfield, in Johnston County, North Carolina. The Project would result in the discharge of fill material into a total of 0.090 acre (ac) (1,390 linear feet [lf]) of potentially jurisdictional stream channel, and 18.67 ac of potentially jurisdictional wetlands. The approximately 88-acre site is located on Swift Creek Road approximately 0.6 mile southwest of the intersection of Swift Creek Road with U.S. Highway 70 Business northwest of Smithfield, NC.
