Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    Expiration date: 6/23/2024

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on May 10, 2024, from Luck Stone Corporation seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into approximately 0.24 acre (3,433 linear feet) of stream channel and 0.53 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, associated with constructing a granite quarry in Lee County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on April 22, 2024 from Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge 0.028 acres of fill, associated with the replacement and extension of a culvert in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina.

  • SAW-2024-00932

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) proposes to issue a Regional General Permit pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C 1344). Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Paragraph 325, authorizes issuance of general (regional) permits for activities, which are substantially similar in nature and cause minimal individual and cumulative environmental impacts. This Public Notice and the general permits are also available on the Wilmington District Web Site at http://www.saw.usace.army.mil/Missions/RegulatoryPermitProgram.aspx.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on May 1, 2024, from Lance Smith seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into potential waters of the United States, associated with construction of a driveway crossing to access Lot 2294 in the Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst in Pinehurst, Moore County, North Carolina.

    USACE is pleased to announce that the new national online application portal and management platform, known as the Regulatory Request System (RRS) now includes an electronic submission option for permit applications. This platform has been introduced to modernize our permit application process and to address our users' expectations by providing a straightforward and transparent process for the submittal of permit requests.
