Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NC DOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, associated with the proposed widening of SR 1102 (Gillis Hill Road) from US Highway 401 (Raeford Road) to SR 1418 (Lindsay Road), in Cumberland and Hoke Counties, North Carolina. The proposed project is included in the approved 2020-2029 North Carolina State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), project number STIP: U-5798.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Mr. George Radford at the United States Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point seeking Department of the Army authorization to fill 6.13 acres of wetlands, 0.12 acres of jurisdictional tributaries (ditches), and 242 linear feet of stream, associated with relocating and widening Slocum Road from two lanes to four lanes and construct an additional concrete two-lane bridge with a pedestrian lane over Slocum Creek, in Craven County, North Carolina.
