Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    Expiration date: 2/17/2017

    The Wilmington District renewed /modified eleven (regional) general permits (RGPs). RGPs are allowed for activities which are substantially similar in nature and cause only minimal individual and cumulative environmental impacts. These permits may be authorized for use if all conditions are met until December 31, 2021.

    Expiration date: 1/6/2017

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Clemmons TC, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 636.7 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channel and 0.105 acre of forested jurisdictional wetlands of a tributary of Johnson Creek associated with the proposed construction of the Clemmons Town Center (CTC) located off of 2394 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, in Clemmons, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

  • SAW-2001-21252

    Expiration date: 12/20/2016

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application for a modification to an existing Department of Army (DA) permit from Newland Communities seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact an additional 110 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channel and 72 square feet of jurisdictional wetlands. This modification is to the permit associated with the construction of the Briar Chapel Development in Chatham County, North Carolina. The modification is for 5 new sites (identified as V,W,X,Y,Z) that account for 377 linear feet of permanent stream impacts and 464 square feet of permanent wetland impacts. However, all permanent stream and wetland impacts previously permitted under the existing DA permit were not undertaken by the applicant. As such, the total amount of additional permanent stream impacts is 110 linear feet and the total amount additional permanent wetland impact is 72 square feet.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 1,888 linear feet of stream, 0.02 acre of wetland, and 0.03 acre of open water (pond) in order to reduce projected traffic congestion at the Interstate 26 (I-26)/NC 191 interchange in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina (STIP No. I-5504).
