Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    Expiration date: 11/30/2022

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on October 18, 2022, from Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Industries, LP seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 1,642 linear feet (lf) of stream channel (0.23 acre (ac)) and 0.83 ac of wetlands, associated with the expansion of production, packaging, and warehousing at their existing facility, east of Clayton, in Johnston County, North Carolina.

  • EMERGENCY PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESSING PROCEDURES FOR HURRICANE IAN

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District will initiate the following alternative permitting procedures in response to conditions resulting from possible erosion, and storm damage associated with recent passing of Hurricane Ian.

  • SAW- 2017-00322

    Expiration date: 10/24/2022

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received information from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, associated with improving the US 401 intersection with NC 55/NC 42 and the NC 55 intersection with NC 42. Also proposed is the construction of a connector road from NC 55 to Judd Parkway in Fuquay-Varina, Wake County, North Carolina. The project is identified in NCDOT’s 2020-2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) as Project Number U-5751. Right of way is scheduled to begin in 2028. Construction is programmed for future years beyond the STIP horizon and is unfunded

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from BCUS Acquisitions, LLC, seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 608 linear feet (lf) of stream channel (180 lf would be associated with riprap dissipator pads) and 1.624 acres of wetland, temporarily impact 307 lf of stream channel and 0.473 acre of wetland, and permanently convert 1.5 acres of wetland, in conjunction with the construction of the Ammons Property (Site) residential development, located at 1832 Peach Grove Lane, in Zebulon, Wake County, North Carolina
