As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Ferry Division (NCDOT-FD) seeking Department of the Army authorization to utilize NCDOT-FD dredge plants (Manteo) to conduct maintenance dredging of the Southdock Ferry Channel and Basin on an as needed basis, expand the width of the entrance channel, and pump dredge material as needed on the beach at the Northern terminus of Ocracoke Island, Hyde County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the United States Coast Guard seeking Department of the Army authorization to modify an existing authorization in order to conduct new dredging within the existing mooring basin, associated with the US Coast Guard Sector Field Office at Fort Macon, in Carteret County, North Carolina.

  • Regional General Conditions - NWPs 2017

    Final Regional Conditions for Nationwide Permits (NWPs) in the Wilmington District are effective March 19, 2017, as per approval by and signature of the South Atlantic Division Engineer, 14 March 2017. These regional conditions are for use with the 2017 NWPs. The Corps of Engineers reissued all the existing Nationwide Permits (NWPs), General Conditions, and definitions, with some modifications, and issued two new NWPs, one new general condition, and added 5 new definitions.   • NLEB SLOPES

    Expiration date: 4/28/2017

    The purpose of this public notice is to announce the Standard Local Operating Procedures for Endangered Species (SLOPES) for Wilmington District, Department of the Army Permits Affecting Northern Long-Eared Bats in North Carolina. The Wilmington District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) developed a SLOPES agreement concerning potential effects to the federally-threatened Northern long-eared bat (NLEB) (Myotis septentrionalis).
