Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

  • SAW-2009-01449

    Expiration date: 3/13/2017

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application for a modification to an existing Department of Army (DA) permit from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking authorization to permanently impact 7,644 linear feet of stream, 0.94 acres of permanent impacts to wetlands and 3.09 acres of temporary stream impact associated with Section C of the Shelby Bypass. The Shelby Bypass was separated into sections A-E and the original permit, issued April 12, 2013, presented final impacts for R-2707A, R-2707B and preliminary impacts for R-2707C, R-2707D and R-2707E. This modification presents the final design impacts for R-2707C, a 4.79 mile section of the US 74 Shelby Bypass from West of NC 226 to west of NC 150 in Cleveland County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the City of Wilmington seeking Department of the Army authorization to place fill material within waters of the U.S. for the purpose of conducting a stream restoration and floodplain management project along Clear Run Branch, in the City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received a modified application from Mr. Jeff Brown of Tryon Equestrian Partners, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 3,929 linear feet of UT’s of White Oak Creek and 0.09 acres of jurisdictional wetlands, associated with the proposed development of 1,405 acres for a resort, equestrian center, and residential community known as the Tyron International Equestrian Center (Tryon Equestrian) southeast of the intersection of Pea Ridge Road and U.S. Highway 74, northeast of Tryon in Polk County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Mr. Jeff Richardson, Cleveland County Government, seeking Department of the Army authorization to place fill material in 1,792 linear feet of stream and 0.062 acre of wetlands, associated with the expansion of a tissue products manufacturing facility in Cleveland County, North Carolina.
