Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on August 28, 2023, from Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into 0.102 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, associated with constructing the new Gregory Poole headquarters, a commercial light industry facility in Garner, Wake County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the United States associated with the construction of the I-26 Asheville Connector Project (STIP No. I-2513) in Buncombe County, North Carolina. The proposed project is approximately 7 miles in length and would connect I-26 in southwestern Asheville to US 19-23-70 in northwest Asheville.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on September 13, 2023 from Duke Energy seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into 0.90-acre of wetlands associated with the decommissioning of the RUTHE-070 Main Dam during the coal ash basin removal process in Mooresboro, Rutherford County, North Carolina.
