Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Sibelco North America, Incorporated, seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into 0.274 acre of wetlands and 347 linear feet of stream channel, associated with the expansion of an existing waste area at the Brushy Creek Mine (project known as Ollis Waste Area Expansion), in Spruce Pine, in Avery County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from The Chemours Company, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 0.16-acre of wetlands and 120 linear feet of stream channel associated with a flow-through cell in-stream water treatment pilot study in Bladen County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Town of Holly Springs seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters and wetlands in Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 03020201 (Neuse River Basin), associated with Holly Springs Road Widening – Phase 2 in Wake County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps or USACE) received an application from Mr. Jeff Ferguson of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC or WRC) seeking Department of the Army (DA) authorization for 7.5 acres (ac) of permanent impacts to open waters (dredging and conversion to wetlands); 9.5-ac of temporary impacts to open waters (access and erosion control); 1.1-ac of permanent impacts to wetlands (fill); and 3.0-ac of temporary impacts to wetlands (access and erosion control), associated with dredging of the recreational navigation channel between the Lake Adger public boat access area and the lake’s main channel adjacent to the Lake Adger marina in Mill Spring, Polk County, North Carolina.
