Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from John Koenig, Inc. seeking Department of the Army authorization for a discharge of dredged and/or fill material into waters of the United States associated with constructing access and infrastructure for the final phases of Williamsburg Plantation residential subdivision located west of Gum Branch Road, to the southwest of and between Western Boulevard and Williamsburg Parkway, in Jacksonville, Onslow County, North Carolina.     The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Stallings Oil Company seeking Department of the Army authorization for 0.551 acres of permanent impacts to riparian wetlands associated with the infrastructure, and lot fill for a commercial development located on the east side of NC Hwy 58, south of US Hwy 64, Nashville, Nash County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Mr. Marc Hamel of the North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division (NCDOT Rails), seeking a Department of the Army permit authorization for permanent impacts to 1154 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channels and 3.48 acres of jurisdictional wetlands adjacent to Jimmy’s Creek which is a tributary of the Yadkin River, associated with the proposed safety improvements to approximately 4.2 miles of existing rail corridor located south of Bower Station to Lake Station, south of Thomasville, in Davidson County, North Carolina. The NCDOT Rails has identified this project as TIP Project C-4901A, D.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army (DA) authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States associated with the proposed improvements and widening of US 221 to a multi-lane facility from US 421 near Deep Gap, Watauga County, North Carolina to NC 88/US 221-Business, in Jefferson, Ashe County, North Carolina.
