As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application, from The Town of Ocean Isle Beach, to obtain authorization to continue current beach nourishment operations and add an additional nourishment area along a total of 27,650 linear feet of the oceanfront shoreline of Ocean Isle Beach. The project is located in waters of the United States, in Section 404 and Section 10 waters, Township of Ocean Isle Beach, Brunswick County, North Carolina. The proposed project has been assigned Action ID #SAW-2016-01642.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps or USACE) received an application from Mr. Jonathan Ray of Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke Energy) seeking Department of the Army authorization for 110 linear feet (lf) of temporary stream impacts (stream crossing), 51.3 acres of temporary open water impacts (barge loading/staging area and impoundment dewatering), and 9.61 acres of permanent open water impacts (submerged weir and rock spoil disposal), associated with the Cedar Cliff Development Auxiliary Spillway Upgrade Project in Tuckasegee, Jackson County, North Carolina.

    The DISTRICT ENGINEER, WILMINGTON DISTRICT, 69 Darlington Avenue, Wilmington North Carolina 284032, hereby announces the modification and renewal of Regional General Permit 198200031 (RGP 31), pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344). This RGP is effective immediately.
