Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Pender Farm Development, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact waters and wetlands of the US, associated with the development of a 191 lot residential development in Scott’s Hill, Pender County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application for a modification to an existing Department of Army (DA) permit from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently discharge fill material into 5,566 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channel and 0.80 acres of adjacent wetlands, and temporarily discharge fill material into 279 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channel. This permit modification is associated with section D of Transportation Improvement Project (TIP) U-2524, the construction of an approximately 1.75 mile section of the Greensboro Western Loop from east of Battleground Avenue (US 220) to SR 2303 (Lawndale Drive) in Greensboro, in Guilford County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 4,033 linear feet of stream, 0.07 acre of wetland, and 0.10 acre of open water along 4.3 miles of NC 63/Leicester Highway in order to increase traffic carrying capacity and improve safety along this section of NC 63 in Buncombe County, North Carolina (TIP No. U-3301).

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army (DA) authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States associated with improving US 70 from US 70 Business (west of the SR 2565 (Sadisco Road) intersection) to east of the SR 1915 (Turnage Road) intersection near Clayton, Johnson County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), seeking Department of the Army (DA) authorization to permanently impact 0.33 acres of jurisdictional wetlands and 2204 linear feet of jurisdictional streams associated with construction of a 12.3 mile controlled-access freeway facility on new alignment from south of Old NC 11 to US 264 (Stantonsburg Road) in Pitt County, North Carolina. (NCDOT TIP No. R-2250).
