  • USACE Wilmington to hold a public open house for the Wilmington Harbor 403 Letter Report and Environmental Impact Statement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wilmington District is conducting a public comment period through 30 June 2023 and will host a public open house on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, 4:00 PM at Cape Fear Community College, Union Station Building, 502 N Front St. Wilmington, NC 28401.
  • Philpott Dam Industry Day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wilmington District is hosting an Industry Engagement Day, on Tuesday, 18 APR 2023, from 0900 to 1200 EDT at the Philpott Lake Visitor Center. Attendees will meet at the Philpott Lake Visitor Center no later than 0845. A presentation will be provided which will include general timeline of the solicitation, how to contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers, and a general overview of the project. The Industry Day will provide a venue for CESAW to discuss the upcoming Philpott Dam Landslide Remediation contracting opportunity.
  • Wilmington Harbor Navigation Improvement Evaluation Continues

    The US Army Corps of Engineers is withdrawing a previous Notice of Intent (NOI) which was published in the Federal Register in September 2019 for the preparation of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), for the Wilmington Harbor Navigation Improvement Project Feasibility Study.
  • William O’Huske/Lock and Dam Three construction closure

    The William O’Huske/Lock and Dam Three, located at 1248 Bill Hall Rd, Fayetteville, NC, will be closed 20 March 2023 through 31 May 2023 while rehabilitation work takes place to restore functionality to the Cape Fear River Lock and Dam, so that both vessels and fish may be locked through once again.
