  • Army Corps to provide Media Access to senior leadership & ongoing Debris Removal Mission at Lake Lure

    LAKE LURE, N.C. – Members of the media are invited to join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for a site visit and media availability with senior USACE leadership, as the agency reaches the 200-day milestone in its Hurricane Helene recovery mission in western North Carolina. Removal of debris buried in the deepest parts of Lake Lure has begun this week.
  • Wilmington District, USACE to hold public information meeting for the Wilmington Harbor 403 Project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a public engagement to discuss the Wilmington Harbor 403.  The meeting offers an opportunity for participants to engage with members of our team and learn about the conditionally authorized project to deepen the harbor to a depth of 47’. The intent of these engagements is to ensure stakeholders know when and how to engage, the type of input that will be helpful, and have adequate project information to engage.
