As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received a prospectus proposing to include an additional site, known as the Jeat Tract, to the Northeast Cape Fear Umbrella Mitigation Bank (Bank). The Jeat Tract is located on the west side of SR 1522 (Shaw Highway), across from the Bank’s current Holly Shelter Tract, adjacent to the Northeast (NE) Cape Fear River, east of Rocky Point, Pender County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received a prospectus proposing to establish a wetland and stream mitigation bank, known as Davis Farm Wetland Mitigation Bank (Bank), within an approximate 3,400-acre tract currently owned by Sustainable Forest, LLC c/o: Mr. Damien Bukowy and proposed by sponsor Mr. Jack Stocks, a potential buyer. The tract is in the interstream divide headwaters of Kelly’s Creek, Turkey Creek and Pike Creek watersheds and is located in the northwest corner of Hwy 117 and NC Hwy 210 intersection, south of Ashton Road (SR 1411), near Rocky Point, Pender County, North Carolina.
