If it has been longer than 14 days since purchasing the property please call the Visitor Assistance Center (434.738.6143) as soon as possible to discuss the permit with your designated shoreline ranger.

Yes, you need to complete the change of ownership process unless you are the spouse of the current permit holder. If you are the spouse of the current permit holder please contact our visitor center so that a shoreline ranger can discuss the permit continuance under your name.
