Calling all 4th Graders -  You and your family can get free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year.

Fourth graders can visit the “Get Your Pass” section of the Every Kid Outdoors website at https://www.nps.gov/everykidoutdoors/index.htm and complete a fun educational activity to obtain and print a personalized voucher for unlimited use at federal lands and waters for one year. Passes are valid from Sept. 1, 2019 through Aug. 31, 2020. The paper voucher can be exchanged for a more durable interagency annual fourth grade pass at each of the Wilmington District's Visitor Assistance Centers or at other federal sites . The Every Kid in a Park website also provides information on tips for trip planning and how parents and educators can get involved.

Our Park Rangers are also eager to help get your 4th grade class or community group get connected with the outdoors.  Contact your closest lake to learn more about the programs they offer.  If your class is unable to visit, we can also bring our interactive programming to you. Participating 4th graders will earn a free Every Kid Outdoors pass plus learn about the wonderful opportunities that await them at  Forest Service, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army of Engineers sites.

Two programs offered by the ranger staff at Falls and Jordan Lakes are highlighted this month.  "Gone Fishin" and Wanted, "A Case of Predator and Prey" are fun interactive programs that also meet core standards.  Contact us today to schedule your program(s)!
