USACE Wilmington to hold a public meeting for the Wilmington Harbor 403 Letter Report and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wilmington District completed the draft Letter Report and draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).  This document is now available for review on our website:  https://www.saw.usace.army.mil/Missions/Navigation/Dredging/Wilmington-Harbor/Wilmington-Harbor-403-Letter-Report-and-EIS/ 

USACE is conducting a public comment period through 3 November 2025 and will host an open house on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Cape Fear Community College, Union Station Building, Daniels Hall, 502 N Front St. Wilmington, NC 28401. 

The meeting will offer an opportunity for participants to engage with members of our team, learn about the conditionally authorized project to deepen the harbor to a depth of 47’, ask questions, and provide comments.   

Public comments need to be received within 45 days of the publication of the draft Letter Report and EIS for full consideration.
