The USACE, Wilmington District, is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) to address anticipated effects to the human environment associated with construction of shoreline stabilization and erosion protection measures at Snow’s Cut.

The EA will cover the entirety of Snow’s Cut federally owned lands that have not been previously stabilized, although near-term construction efforts will focus on four areas west of Snow’s Cut Bridge, as funding allows. The Corps will investigate a no action alternative and multiple shoreline stabilization and erosion protection alternatives.

This meeting is being conducted during the project’s scoping period.  The USACE requests your comments identifying substantial resources in the project area, issues of concern, and stakeholders who should be engaged regarding this project.  Information received will be considered during preparation of Environmental Assessment for the proposed project. To effectively consider your input, we request your response by July 8, 2024. Input may be provided by email to Justin Bashaw at Justin.P.Bashaw@usace.army.mil.
