WILMINGTON, N.C. – Officials from the Wilkes County Public Library and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently met at Fish Dam Creek Park located on the W. Kerr Scott Reservoir to dedicate the Storyboard Walking Trail.
“The Story Walk presents a great opportunity for kids to engage in both an educational and recreational activity. Parents and children of all ages will be able to walk along Fish Dam Creek Park and read different stories throughout the year,” said Park Ranger Maria Vasquez.
Fish Dam Creek Park is located at the end of Reservoir Road in Wilkesboro, NC. In addition to the new Story Walk, the park offers a walking path, playground, horse shoe pit, picnic tables, and seven shelters, one of which can be reserved.
