Corps Reminds Visitors to Stay Vigilant

Published July 13, 2018
WILMINGTON, N.C. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District announced today, as the recreation season continues please be vigilant while entering, driving in, and exiting Corps recreational areas. After a long day of enjoying the swim beaches and boating, many people are anxious to get home and take risks by not watching for pedestrians and bicyclists, not following the posted speed limits, and not looking both ways at stop signs. We want everyone to arrive back home safely.
For additional information on recreational opportunities at W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir, please go to the Wilmington District’s website www.saw.usace.army.mil or contact the Visitor Assistance Center at 336-921-3390. You can also visit us at 499 Reservoir Road in Wilkesboro, NC.
