Volunteering at John H. Kerr

John H. Kerr Reservoir has volunteer positions year-round. As a volunteer, you gain valuable skills, work outdoors, make new friends, and see different areas of the country.  US Army Corps of Engineers projects are located throughout the country.  Volunteers work with Rangers to improve our public lands for generations to come.

Volunteers assist our project with outdoor recreation, land management, administration, public relations, and more!  Possible opportunities include: Trail Maintenance, Shoreline Clean-Up, Interpretation (Campground Programs and Water Safety Programs), Graphic Design (designing new brochures and posters), Light Maintenance to include painting, staining, and carpentry projects, and Park Attendant/Hosts.

Anyone can become a volunteer and all ages are welcome! All community groups, scout troops, school groups, teams, or individuals that are in need of volunteer hours please feel free to contact the VAC at 434-738-6143 or check out the links below for any volunteer opportunities under John H. Kerr!
