WILMINGTON, N.C. – Water management officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wilmington District are beginning to decrease releases at Falls Lake.
On Thursday morning, 11 May, releases were reduced from 6000 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 5000 cfs with an additional cutback to 4000 cfs planned by noon on Friday, 12 May. Officials expect to maintain the 4000 cfs release into next week.
