W. Kerr Scott Reservoir Announces Temporary Closures Due to Flooding

WILMINGTON, N.C. Due to flooding from the heavy rain received earlier this week, W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir has temporarily closed the following areas until the lake level recedes and repairs and cleanup are conducted: Dam Site Boat Ramp, Smithey's Creek Boat Ramp, Ft. Hamby Boat Ramp, Boomer Boat Ramp, Bandit’s Roost Boat Ramp, Keowee Boat Ramp, Tailwater Canoe Launch, Marley’s Ford WMA Canoe Launch, Blood Creek Fishing Pier, Ft. Hamby Beach, Bandit’s Roost Beach, Warrior Creek Beach, Keowee Park, Boomer Park, Dark Mountain Trail, OVT Trail, and Warrior Creek Trail. Additionally, the May 1st opening of the beaches at Berry Mountain Park and Boomer Park have been delayed until further notice.
