CURRITUCK at Assateague Island National Seashore
Members of the Wilmington District's special purpose vessel CURRITUCK prepare to dump dredged material on the beach at Assategue Island National Seashore to help reduce erosion. The shallowdraft vessel can deposit material in a minimum of six feet of water. Waves then sculpt the material for a natural look.
