regulations applicable to Philpott Lake.
A safer and more enjoyable visit will be assured by following the
prescribed rules and regulations. The following park areas offer a variety of facilities
for
your outdoor recreation enjoyment. Also, look at some tips
while camping with pets.

a total of 21 campsites. An $20.00 camping fee is charged between April
1 and October 31 and $10.00 during the off season. You may obtain
camping permits from the park entrance station at Salthouse Branch or Bowens
Creek. OFF-SEASON ONLY: Camping permits available at Goose Point Entrance and Ramp 1 Honor Vaults.

and sanitary dump station. There are a total of 63 campsites. The park is open year-round,
but only offers primitive camping (electric hook-up only, no water hook-up) during the off season at a limited
number of campsites. Generally the off season will run from November -
March, however the actual opening date will vary based on when the NASCAR race
is held in Martinsville. When planning to camp during the off
season, keep in mind that bath and toilet facilities are not available due
to the possibility of freezing plumbing. Portable toilet
(porta-john) facilities are available for use during the off season. Day Use Fees apply for non-campers.

and electricity for $20.00. There
is NO Day Use Fee charged at Jamison Mill.

There is a fee to
use Boat Ramp 1, but there are NO Day Use Fees charged at other areas of Philpott Park. Shelter reservations may be made for a fee, but if the
shelter is not reserved or in use there is no cost to use it.
Visitor Assistance Center hours are from 8:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. From April 1 - October 31, the Visitor Assistance
Center is also open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Day Use Fees apply for non-campers. During the months of March and November, sites 1-18 will be available for walk-ins with electric hook-up only. Potable water and heated restrooms will be available in the park. Non-peak season rates are $20 per night. Call 276-629-2703 for more details.
