Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from The Chemours Company, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 0.16-acre of wetlands and 120 linear feet of stream channel associated with a flow-through cell in-stream water treatment pilot study in Bladen County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 3.59 acres of wetlands and 1,321 feet of permanent stream impacts, 0.15 acre of hand clearing and 0.08 acres of temporary excavation for utilities associated with 4.46 miles of proposed improvements to US 70 in James City, Craven County, North Carolina. (TIP No. U-5713/R-5777A&B).

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Town of Sunset Beach seeking Department of the Army authorization to perform navigational dredging of Canals A-D, the Feeder Channel, Bay Area and an area of South Jinks Creek on the east end of Sunset Beach, with dredged material placement occurring in the nearshore along approximately 2,000 linear ft. of oceanfront beach, in Sunset Beach, Brunswick County, North Carolina. This request amends the original Town’s request as outlined in the Corps’ Public Notice issued on September 20, 2019.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the NorthPoint Development, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 700 linear feet of stream channel and 1.18 acres of wetlands for the construction of a largescale, master planned industrial logistics center in Gaston County, North Carolina.

    Expiration date: 10/27/2020

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking to modify an existing Department of the Army authorization associated with the overall 26-mile widening project of existing I-95 to an eight-lane median divided facility on existing location from Business Route 95 (exit 56) north to Interstate 40 (exit 81) in Cumberland, Harnett, and Johnston Counties, North Carolina. This section of the project is identified as I-5986 A and is being re-advertised due to changes from the original project public notice, dated March 15, 2019.
