Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    Expiration date: 1/2/2018

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters and wetlands in Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) 03010103 (Roanoke River basin) and 03030002 (Cape Fear River basin), associated with Transportation Improvement Project (TIP) No. U-4734 (Macy Grove Road extension) in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

    On November 19, 2014, the Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) issued a permit to the Village of Bald Head Island for the construction of a terminal groin along with dredging, groin fillet maintenance and beach nourishment. The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers, received a modification request from the Village of Bald Head Island to dredge Jay Bird Shoals and discharge the dredged material along the shoreline of Bald Head Island, updrift of and east of the terminal groin for groin fillet maintenance and beach nourishment.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Mr. Greg Miller and Mrs. Emily Miller seeking an After-the-Fact Department of the Army authorization for the discharge of fill material and excavation activity in over 5.0 acres of jurisdictional Waters of the United States on their approximately 111-acre property located in the Town of Atlantic, in the northeast part of Carteret County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Scannell Development Company seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 1.193 acres of wetlands, associated with the construction of the Hodge Road Business Park, a 1,000,000 square foot distribution hub, at 2309 Hodge Road, in Knightdale, Wake County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Town of Nags Head seeking Department of the Army authorization to dredge 4 million cubic yards of beach-quality sediments from two offshore borrow sources, and deposit the material along a 10-mile section of oceanfront shoreline, in the Town Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina.
