Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans. Subscribe to District Public Notices: The Wilmington District no longer maintains email subscriptions for public notices. Mitigation Public Notices

For all public notices pertaining to compensatory mitigation bank proposals or in-lieu fee mitigation sites developed by the North Carolina Division of Mitigation Services (NCDMS), please go to the Regulatory In-lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System website at https://ribits.usace.army.mil.

SAW-2015-01994 - 12/21/2015: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the Virginia Electric and Power Company seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the United States, associated with the construction of a new 115kV and 230kV switching station. The proposed project is located adjacent to an existing overhead electrical transmission line easement and would permanently impact 1.035 acres of jurisdictional wetlands, temporarily impact 0.052 acre of jurisdictional wetlands and will involve the relocation of 471.97 linear feet of perennial stream channel, permanently impact 39.8 linear feet of perennial stream channel for a total of 511.77 linear feet of jurisdictional streams. The switching station would be approximately 5.5 acres in size, near Battleboro, in Nash County, North Carolina.

SAW-2015-01741 - 12/16/2015: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from CRP-New Bern, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact and fill 0.42 acres of isolated wetlands, 0.84 acres of Jurisdictional 404 wetlands and 483 linear feet of Relatively Permanent Waters (RPW) in the Town of New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina.

SAW-2015-00920 - 12/11/2015: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the United States, associated with expanding an existing HAECO aircraft maintenance facility at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTIA), in Greensboro, in Guilford County, North Carolina.

SAW-2015-01300 - 12/9/2015: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from Mr. Philip Jones, University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) Facilities Management seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 0.68 acre of jurisdictional open water, 82 linear feet of jurisdictional stream channel and 0.1 acre of wetland associated with stormwater management facility construction in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
