Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans. Subscribe to District Public Notices: The Wilmington District no longer maintains email subscriptions for public notices. RSS Feeds (page subscriptions) are now available to enable web visitors to receive notification for all changes (updates) to the Wilmington District regulatory public notices. Mitigation Public Notices

For all public notices pertaining to compensatory mitigation bank proposals or in-lieu fee mitigation sites developed by the North Carolina Division of Mitigation Services (NCDMS), please go to the Regulatory In-lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System website at https://ribits.usace.army.mil.

SAW-2016-00981 - 10/10/2017: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received information from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, associated with the replacement of Bridge No. 360 on US 29 and improvements to the existing interchange at SR 4771 (Reedy Fork Parkway) (STIP Project Number R-4707) in Guilford County, North Carolina.

SAW-2017-02000 - 10/3/2017: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the United States Marine Corps Base-Camp Lejeune seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill and associated wetland forest conversion, for the development of Battle Site Zero (BZO) range adjacent to Tank Range SR-10 in Onslow County, North Carolina.

SAW-2009-01847 - 9/22/2017: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from AFTEW Properties, LLC, seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material within waters of the U.S. for the purpose of constructing a residential development near the City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina. The currently proposed project would require the modification of an existing Department of the Army authorization which was issued in 2013.

SAW-2017-01879 - 9/11/2017: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS), Beaufort Lab seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge 750 cubic yards of fill material into two small open water areas within the marsh complex totaling 0.17 acre combined, associated with a research project testing the effectiveness of applying dredged material to marsh ponds for marsh enhancement in Onslow County, North Carolina.

SAW-2016-02338 - 8/7/2017: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from CSX Transportation, Inc. and CSX Intermodal Terminal, Inc. seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact 10,297.3 liner feet of stream channels, 23.81 acres of wetlands, and 1.63 acres of open water associated with the Carolina Connector Intermodal Rail Terminal (CCX) and Second Mainline Improvements in Rocky Mount, Edgecombe and Nash Counties, North Carolina.
