Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on March 16, 2023 from Lake Tacoma, Inc. seeking Department of the Army authorization to modify a previously issued permit in order to continue/expand dredging operations to remove accumulated sediment on Lake Tahoma, in Marion, McDowell County, North Carolina.

  • Joint Public Notice of Availability of the Beta Stream Duration Assessment Methods (SDAM) for the Northeast and Southeast

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Baltimore, Buffalo, Charleston, Chicago, Detroit, Fort Worth, Galveston, Huntington, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Little Rock, Louisville, Memphis, Mobile, Nashville, New England, New Orleans, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Savannah, St. Louis, Tulsa, Vicksburg, and Wilmington Districts, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 jointly announce the availability of the Beta Streamflow Duration Assessment Methods (SDAM) for the Northeast and Southeast (dated April 6, 2023).

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on February 22, 2023 from A. Sydes Construction Inc. seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into 0.129 acre of wetland, 67 linear feet of stream, and 0.40 acre of linear open water ditches, associated with construction of future phases of the residential subdivision, known as Stateside, located south of Richlands, Onslow County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on March 15, 2023 from Greenfield Communities seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into 3.361 acres of wetland, 0.178 acre of stream resulting in permanent loss; 0.04 acre of stream is proposed to be permanently impacted with no functional loss and 0.49 acre of wetland proposed for conversion from forested to maintained utility easement, for the construction of a proposed multi-use development, known as Capeton, located north of Lillington between the Cape Fear River and Highway US-421, Harnett County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on November 3, 2022 with additional information received on February 3, 2023 from the Town of Morehead City seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into and excavate tidal waters in order to construct a living shoreline and wave attenuation system, associated with a shoreline protection and habitat enhancement project at Sugarloaf Island, south of Evans Street, across the Morehead City waterfront, within the waters of/adjacent to Morehead City Harbor Channel, in Carteret County, North Carolina.
