Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

    Expiration date: 6/20/2016

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Piedmont Natural Gas seeking Department of the Army authorization to open-cut trench a 0.96-mile section of natural gas pipeline through 1.93-acres of forested, non-tidal wetlands, associated with the construction of an approximately 4.7-mile natural gas distribution pipeline, in St. Pauls, Robeson County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from WI High Point Landfill, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the United States, associated with expanding the existing Waste Industries (WI) High Point Construction and Debris (C&D) Landfill in Guilford County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently impact 4,033 linear feet of stream, 0.07 acre of wetland, and 0.10 acre of open water along 4.3 miles of NC 63/Leicester Highway in order to increase traffic carrying capacity and improve safety along this section of NC 63 in Buncombe County, North Carolina (TIP No. U-3301).

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) is publishing the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed project. The Draft EIS has previously been published and all comments addressed. This notice is strictly for the Final EIS. The Town of Ocean Isle Beach is seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the U.S., associated with the construction of a 750ft terminal groin with a 300ft shore anchorage system and associated beach nourishment component, in order to address erosion and protect infrastructure, roads, homes, beaches, dunes, and habitat in Ocean Isle Beach, Brunswick County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army (DA) authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States associated with improving US 70 from US 70 Business (west of the SR 2565 (Sadisco Road) intersection) to east of the SR 1915 (Turnage Road) intersection near Clayton, Johnson County, North Carolina.
