Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans. Subscribe to District Public Notices: The Wilmington District no longer maintains email subscriptions for public notices. Mitigation Public Notices

For all public notices pertaining to compensatory mitigation bank proposals or in-lieu fee mitigation sites developed by the North Carolina Division of Mitigation Services (NCDMS), please go to the Regulatory In-lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System website at https://ribits.usace.army.mil.

SAW-2008-02741 - 2/23/2018: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Edgecombe County and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge fill material into waters of the United States associated with the proposed construction of a tire manufacturing facility, railway access, and associated roadway construction for site access on the Kingsboro CSX Select site. Specifically, the project would permanently impact 5.23 acres of open water pond, 9.12 acres of wetlands, and 2,769 linear feet of stream draining to Walnut Creek and Penders Mill Run located north of US Highway 64, approximately 5 miles east of Rocky Mount, in Kingsboro, Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

SAW-1997-02095 - 1/25/2018: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Lake Tahoma, Inc. seeking Department of the Army authorization for the discharge of dredged material into Lake Tahoma, an impoundment of Buck Creek for the Lake Tahoma Dredge Project located north of Hwy 80, approximately 0.6 miles northwest of the intersection of Hwy 80 with Toms Creek Road, northwest of Marion, in McDowell County, North Carolina.

SAW-2018-00040 - 1/12/2018: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Egger Wood Products, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact approximately 1.00 acre of open water pond, 0.238 acre of wetland and 49 linear feet of stream channel of the jurisdictional waters of South Potts Creek associated with the proposed construction of a wood based products manufacturing facility located off Belmont Road in Linwood, Davidson County, North Carolina.

SAW-2006-20748 - 1/9/2018: The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army (DA) authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States associated with the proposed widening of US 321 from just north of the US 70 interchange in Hickory (Catawba County) to the Southwest Boulevard (SR 1933) intersection in Lenoir (Caldwell County), North Carolina [State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) Number U-4700].
