Regulatory Public Notices

As used by the Corps, the term "public notice" is an official, required government announcement of a proposed agency action, decision made or under consideration, public hearing or other activity.  Please download the attachment(s) associated with notice for the complete, formatted, public notice with tables, illustrations, maps and plans.

Mitigation Public Notices

  • SAW-2014-00610

    Expiration date: 1/5/2023

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on November 8, 2022, from VinFast Manufacturing US, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to permanently discharge dredged or fill material into a total of 3,688 linear feet of stream channel, 22.789 acres of wetlands, and 1.0 acre of open water impoundments, and temporarily discharge dredged or fill material into a total of 4,095 linear feet of stream channel and 14.292 acres of wetlands, associated with developing an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing complex and associated infrastructure in Chatham County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application from Mr. Mark Lyczkowski (MAD M&R, LLC) seeking Department of the Army authorization to impact and fill 1.03 acres (44,721 SQ FT) of 404 wetlands and 0.05 acres (2338 SQ FT) of stream within a 3,196-acre tract proposed for mixed-use commercial and residential development near the Town of Oak Island, Brunswick County, North Carolina.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on October 28, 2022, from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material, associated with the proposal to elevate vertical grade and widen existing I-95 to an eight-lane facility for approximately 7.95 miles from I-74 (Exit 13) to south of US 301/Fayetteville Road (Exit 22) in Robeson County, North Carolina. In addition, NCDOT also proposes to make interchange and roadway improvements at SR 1536 (Carthage Road). NCDOT has identified this project as STIP I-6064 and I-5879, respectively.

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received an application on October 31, 2022, from Land Acquisition and Development Services, LLC seeking Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into approximately 0.30 acre of riparian non-riverine wetlands, associated with constructing the Amberly Townhomes multi-family residential development in Guilford County, North Carolina.

    Expiration date: 12/2/2022

    The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers (Corps) received information from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Division 9, regarding a potential future requirement for Department of the Army authorization to discharge dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, associated with the proposed construction of a 2-lane extension of SR 1630 (Baltimore Road), and new interchange with I-40, on a new alignment, in Davie County, North Carolina. The project is identified in NCDOT’s 2020-2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) as Project Number U-6187. Right-of-way acquisition and construction are scheduled for December 2023 and March 2025, respectively.
