Neuse River Basin Study Technical Report

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Wilmington District terminated the Neuse River Basin, North Carolina, Feasibility Study on February 28, 2023.  The study was initiated in April 2020 utilizing Federal funds provided under the Disaster Relief Act, 2019 and was conducted in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).  The Study focused on identifying flood risk within the Neuse River’s 6,200 square mile basin and evaluating potential alternatives to help manage flood risk.  As part of the termination, the USACE has prepared a Technical Report for the Neuse River Basin Flood Risk Management Study, dated February 2023.

Public Information Meeting – Held May 10, 2022 - Available Documents for Download
